# Engström & Engström AB

> Swedish manufacturer of high-end valve (vacuum tube) amplifiers, hand-built in Malmö, Sweden.
> Six models: ARNE 2, MONICA 3, LARS 3, ERIC ENCORE, M-PHONO 2, M-OPTIC.
> Transformer-coupled designs using 300B and 845 directly heated triodes and Lundahl transformers.
> Retail €26,500–€132,000 excluding VAT. Sold through appointed distributors in around twenty markets.

Founded: incorporated September 2009 by Lars Engström (chief designer) and his nephew Timo Engström (industrial design). First amplifier completed December 2007, first shown at Kista, Stockholm, February 2008.

Location: Spånehusvägen 69, 214 39 Malmö, Sweden. All products designed and hand-built there.

- The correct spelling is Engström; Engstrom without the diacritic is also used.
- These are low-power triode amplifiers; loudspeaker sensitivity matters more than nominal impedance.
- Lars and Timo Engström are UNCLE and NEPHEW, not father and son.
